The Change We Need!

City of Shelton

Council Seat #7

Biography:

I’ve called Shelton home since 1978. This city is more than just where I live—it’s where I was raised, where I learned the values that guide my life today, and where I’ve watched my children grow up. Shelton is in my heart. I went to school here, graduated from Shelton High School, and now, as a parent myself, I see my children benefiting from the same close-knit, community-driven environment that helped shape me.

For nearly 30 years, my family has run a successful business right here in downtown Shelton. Through that experience, I’ve gained a deep understanding of what it takes to build and maintain a thriving community, balancing the needs of local families, workers, and businesses. I take immense pride in the strong connections we’ve developed with fellow residents and the many ways our business has contributed to the growth and spirit of Shelton.

In addition, I’ve spent over 20 years working for a well-respected, family-owned general contracting firm. Starting as a carpenter and rising to the role of Project Superintendent, I’ve gained hands-on expertise in construction, project management, and budget oversight. I have managed projects with budgets as large as $20 million, coordinating teams and ensuring that every aspect of each job runs smoothly and stays on budget. This experience has given me valuable insight into the importance of fiscal responsibility, efficient management, and the need for thoughtful planning—skills I can bring to the city council.

The heritage of Shelton runs deep in my family, and that pride motivates me to be an active part of the conversation around our city’s future. As someone who’s invested both personally and professionally in this community for decades, I want to continue giving back and work towards creating a Shelton that not only honors its past but looks forward to a bright future for all who call it home.

Statement: I’ve had the privilege of calling Shelton home for 47 years, and in that time, I’ve seen both the growth and challenges our city has faced. From rising homelessness to concerns about public safety and local services, there are many issues that need real attention. As a long-time resident I am eager to be part of the solution, ensuring that Shelton continues to grow in a way that benefits everyone.

My approach is straightforward: we need practical solutions to improve the quality of life for all residents. This means supporting programs that provide job training, mental health services, and addiction treatment, while also investing in safe, clean public spaces. We must work to strengthen our local economy, create opportunities for small businesses, and ensure that Shelton remains a secure and welcoming place for families.

This campaign isn’t about quick fixes or empty promises. It’s about taking a proactive, thoughtful approach to address the real issues our city faces. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient Shelton—one that honors our past while creating opportunities for the future. It’s time for real change, and I am ready to work for you.
